Life of a Trophy Wife

Since today was incredibly non-eventful there's really not much to post other than my growing affection for playing the guitar. We somehow got a hold of a basic acoustic and I bought myself The Greatest Hits of Cat Stevens sheet music and have been having a jolly old time. It makes me really sad that he renounced all his songs after converting to Islam. I can't imagine how a lyrical song about the beauty of the sunrise could ever be a sin. But that doesn't stop me from bugging my neighbors with my laborious, faulty chords. I swear I'm getting better though. Practice is so unavoidable to be able to play the guitar well. You just have to put in the time and you may or may not end up keeping it as a hobby. I have a bad track record with stuff like this. It seems like I only ever get enough proficiency to do the basic, and then get sick of it and move on. (Bass guitar, violin, piano, volleyball, sewing, personal hygiene, etc). We'll see how this little mania shakes out.
I'll leave you with one of my favorite Cat Stevens' lines that reminds me of why I'm even trying to express myself in a blog:
Heaven loves the hippie. Come back to us, Cat!Don't be shy just let your feelings roll on by /Don't wear fear or nobody will know you're there / Just lift your head, and let your feelings out instead / And don't be shy, just let your feeling roll on by
