Focal Fun at Zenni Optical!

A big thanks to Chelsea Worth who mentioned the site, Zenni Optical on her blog a while back. You can order prescription glasses for as low as $8 and the variety is awesome. Maybe a little too awesome.

I'm way too cool for these:

And not nearly cool enough for this pair:
My mom got me some of these in junior high for gym class and I'm still scarred:
Maybe when I'm 50 and have cats:

These ones freaked me out. It looks like they are going to eat my face:

You're kidding, right? It's like an alien decomposing on your face:
I don't think I can pull off the Harry Potter look:
And I don't do enough acid to make these work:
You do have to give me some credit for passing these over - camo fan that I am:
I admit, these tickled me and were in my cart for 10 minutes before I looked at them again and almost threw up:
And who doesn't like flame-rimmed specs? Hubba hubba! I'm still tempted by these...
But in the end, I choose this delectable pair of green and white specs. I'm not sure that they aren't the worst of all of them, but for some reason I heart them up and down. Probably because they look like the gummy frogs that I buy from my favorite candy shop.
I'm going to lick them when they arrive. Thanks again, Chelsea!

So - if they don't look good on your face, what are you going to do, lick them some more?

And I think they're pretty.

$4.94 flat no matter how many pairs you get. That basic glasses start at $8 and then depending on what extras you want, they go up from there. My glasses ended up being about $45 because I got anti-reflective coating, ultra thin lenses for my -5.75 prescription, and clip on sunglasses (how awful will that look). But still, that's WAY cheaper than you can get glasses at Walmart.

Nice choice Hollywood. I took Chelsea's advice too and ordered two pairs a while back. I bought one nice conservative black pair to use on a regular basis and a fun pair. They're bright purple. I love them. I wear them all the time. The black ones haven't come out of their case since they day they arrived here.

I SO need new glasses. Thanks for the tip!
Very cool! I am in need of a new pair of computer glasses, and I've just put off going to the store to buy them. Now, I can be lazy AND see! Thanks for sharing!

I'm definitely going to have to look into this (okay, no pun intended). I've been desperately wanting new glasses for a while now and something like this just might make them more affordable.

you are very welcome Hollywood. I have loved my glasses and am feeling the itch to get more. Isn't it the greatest thing ever?

You crack me up! You should have gone with the camo. You'll blend in during embarrasing moments. And that's always a plus.
These glasses are sooooo cool and soooo cheap. If I hadn't gotten Lasik last year, I totally would go for it. I guess I'll either have to order ones with nonprescription glass just to be stylish or wait until I get old enough to need bifocals. Either way, let me mention that tons of people in Germany have crazy glasses. (They actually like wearing glasses. They don't get why people would get Lasik.)
