Head Trauma
At 7:30 this morning, my baby Cher started screaming - three year old Pixie had closed Cher's fingers in the door. I ran over and threw open the door to release her fingers but the door bashed Pixie who was sitting on the other side. I picked up the screaming Pixie and bent down to pick up shrieking Cher as well. As I did, I accidentally mashed Pixie's head into the door frame. Finally with both screaming girls on my lap, I tried to comfort them but Cher slipped off my knee and mashed her face on Pixie's bare knee sending them both into fresh, painful wails.
And that was just 7:30. Can you imagine all the emotional lacerations I've caused since then? Motherhood, my friends. It's loud.

KEEP BELIEVING
i was walking with my friend once, while we were both pushing strollers in a busy city (where walking was the main way to get around). we were heading somewhere in a hurry, and right when we passed a big metal mailbox, her baby stuck her head out of the stroller and got her head whacked pretty bad. it was so sad. it's something that most moms do and always feel sick about.
But I laughed about the "It's loud" comment. Boy is it EVER!!!
When my son was three, he was trying to get away from me at his sister's school party. I grabbed his arm and he twisted it as he was trying to squirm away. He immediately started screaming, and wouldn't let anyone touch his arm. I took him to the Dr., and his elbow was partially dislocated (nursemaids elbow). She just popped it back in, and he was fine. I, however, felt horrible.
If you think motherhood is loud now, just wait until they are older.
