Swiffer Break Up Video Contest

For a $15,000 prize, I'll try most anything. This time it's the Swiffer/YouTube competition. You're supposed to create a minute long video showing how you broke up with your old cleaning supplies and turned to Swiffer instead. Here's what I came up with. A word of warning, this is my acting debut. Things are going to get ugly:





The deadline for the contest entries is tonight at midnight so if anyone wants to battle me for the prize, read the rules and send in your video here. I have to admit, I've never bought a Swiffer, but if they decide to give me thousands and thousands of dollars, I just might try one out!

I think I totally did this contest wrong. I'm pretty sure they wanted me to dance. At least that's what everyone else is doing in their videos that I just found on YouTube. Shoot.

Got to say, I love my swiffer. I don't dust often, but only needing to pull out ONE item, instead of carrying a bottle and a rag all over the house, makes my life a lot easier! Works AWESOME on the floor, too, after I cut my sweetie's hair! (You know all those little hairs that the vacuums will NEVER pick up? Yeah. Those ones.) (Can I point out that I'm talking about their dusting wands...but the mops, etc. are pretty cool, too.)

Swiffer is going to pick their top 10 favorites and then put them up on YouTube next month for anyone/everyone to vote on. Some of the other entries are pretty cool (a few animated ones especially) so I'm not too optimistic about my chick-flick making the final cut, but it was fun to make.

I really wish I would have known about this contest sooner. I have a 7 year old son with a cleaning obsession, and who owns 3 different swiffers.
I also have a 12 year old son who is a genius at film making.
I think our family could have "cleaned up" in this contest.

I realized the Swiffer craze had reached epic proportions when I saw a pattern for a knit Swiffer cover. Oh my!
