Old Folks Prom

Spike and I went to our first dance last night. We have been married for over 5 years, but have never gone to a real dance before so it was pretty fun. Our church put on a Valentine's dance for all the adults and it was way more fun than we expected. A group of our friends even rented a limo and picked up their wives in it to surprise them. Spike and I decided to go all out - we wriggled our way back into our Christmas party duds and were by far the most overdressed people there. I think the official instructions were "dressy casual" but we were more "dress like it's Prom." As soon as we walked in, Spike turned to me and said "bad news sweetie, I don't like to dance." Too bad for him. We shimmied and jived with the best of them until my feet screamed from my 3 inch heels. This old nag still has it! It was fun to feel 15 again. For all of our friends who were there, here are a few pics. Thanks to everyone who helped put on this party for us boring married people.

I know you looked fabulous in your party clothes, but Sarah I think you should have worn your Texas flag and boots... really show those Californians :) And you would have been able to dance longer!

That sounds so romantic--limo, reliving prom, etc. Our stake had an adult dance too but we babysat instead for others going. I considered getting gussied up for it and turned that idea down after realizing I would have to wear something other than the sweatpants that seem to be the only thing that fits. Get any pictures? A corsage?
