Fruity, Not Fun

Remember that contest I wanted to enter over at ModernMom.com? You are supposed to create a video or photo that captures how Fruity Cheerios contribute to family fun. I'm trying to justify spending a couple hundred dollars on a new double stroller so I wanted to win the $500 prize. I pulled out the camera yesterday and took half an hour worth of film trying to get Pixie to do all kinds of fun things with the Cheerios. But all she would do for the entire half hour was sit around and eat the darn things. I tried to get her to decorate the baby with cereal, create a picture by gluing them down, make up a poem, but nothing.

Rather than call it a loss, I made this video as a tribute to my failed efforts. I'm sure it's the last thing Cheerios would want tied to their product, but I've got to be honest, the things are only good for eating. Family fun? Not a chance. So much for the stroller.

I think you should enter it anyway because that IS funny.

And she is so cute eating them!

I thought it was hilarious. I know that me thinking you're funny doesn't make up for not having that new double stroller, but it made me laugh.

Maybe Charlotte is the real movie star in the family. Just a few more years and those millions will be yours!

It's still a clever and funny idea... I'd still enter it in! :) Are there really people who have family fun with their Cheerios? I'll have to go check it out...

buy yourself the double stroller anyway. You pushed two kids out, you need no justification to buy fancy accessories.
Oh, and the video is way funny...

I love that we are both talking about double strollers this week. I guess we are officially part of the big family club!

I'm wondering exactly what Cheerios had in mind when they advertised to see "family fun".

Too bad you didn't walk in on a little girl sitting in a pile of fruity Cheerios...that's about the extent of "fun" we've ever had with our breakfast cereal.

You sound so disappointed that Penny isn't on the fast track to child super-stardom!

The cheerios look delicious-my kid watched the video several times and really seemed to connect with Penny, but then again, my kid doesn't really say much...

Ha! Please do enter it. The poor people who have to watch all the submitted videos will thank you.

OMG, awesome. Would you buy me a monkey?
When I read the word "monkey," I laughed the hardest I have in a month.

You and Penny are quiet the comedy duo. I'd take the two of you over Joan and Melissa any day!

That is pretty funny! I was giggling at least.
