Vote For Me!

Well this is unexpected - I'm a finalist in that contest I entered for Fruity Cheerios. It looks like mine was the only video entry they received since they were supposed to put up the top five videos and photos but there's only one video in the contest.

For being a top-ten finalist they are going to send me 10 boxes of Cheerios. That means I'll have to eat them every day for the next year. Obviously, I'd rather win the $500 1st prize and stick with my Frosted Mini Wheats so I need your help. Click the "vote" button under my video to save me from Fruity Cheerios taking over my kitchen. Of course, you'll probably just vote for the chump with the Cheerio on his nose like everyone else is. Don't think I won't find out and punish you.

As much as I'd love to blindly throw my vote your way, I don't know where you stand on key cereal issues! What's this candidate's Cheerios platform?

Good question, Doug. I'm a Mini-Wheats fan myself (can't beat that fiber content) but I have a great respect for all cereal and have no problem hosting a variety of them in my kitchen cabinet. My own husband, for example, eats those sugary Lucky Charms for breakfast. While I personally would never consume such trash, I am all smiles to see others aging their bodies prematurely with nasty foods so I look better in comparison. I'm the epitome of tolerance - yes, even for the boringness of Fruity Cheerios.

Done. Vote cast! I can't believe there are no other videos!

So, your husband and mine should get together...Alan absolutely loves anything with sugar, preferably Fruity Pebbles or Lucky Charms. As for me, I am in the same boat, almost everyday I hunker down with my reliable bowl of Mini Wheats. What can I say...nothing else really does it for me.

o.k. Sarah, I went, I saw, I voted. (and frankly the crossed eyes aren't doing it for me at all-how is that the popular vote???)

I also tried to go back and vote again, but some how they noticed the hanging chad and my second vote wasn't counted.

I am currently packing a bag for Florida so I can vote again.

Adam and Andrew sound like they would rather eat Lucky Charms than almost anything. I did go and vote for you in the hopes that your cabinet won't be full of fruity cheerios - I'll vote again tomorrow. Apparently you can only vote once/day. Good luck!!!!

OK I voted for you. But it was really hard not to vote for the lady from Steilacoom, WA, because WA is my home state (and that's a podunk town in the middle of nowhere), and it was also really hard not to vote for the person from Huntington Beach, CA, because that's where I live now.

So consider your vote hard-earned.

It looks like you can vote once a day. So everyone can go back and try again tomorrow!
When I refreshed the page it said you already voted once today, so I will check again tomorrow.

I don't know why people think the cheerios necklace is so cute. Not original at all!

I voted today and I'll keep trying to vote again for you! Good luck!

Oh yeah, and have you tried Fiber One cereal? It has something like 13 grams of fiber. I am a bit of a fiber freak myself.

Sarah, you make me laugh. I mean that in a good way.

I voted-ed-ed-ed for your video.

I feel like I'm voting for a high school student government again - it's about popularity and not about quality. That M. Helms of Steilacoom, WA, sure has a lot of friends (or a really good auto-voter).

No question as to who I voted for. I'll take the video, thank you.

I like your moderate stance, you have my vote!

voting today (shhh, again) this time as Prudence K. Mackafee from Wisconsin

You guys get me all teary eyed! I'm feeling the love here in L.A.

And yes, Janell, this is a popularity contest. Probably best not to vote for me then - the 27 year old frump-mom with acne.

O voted for sarah because I know she'll remember her friends when she's got to pick a cabinet; (to put that cereal in)

Oh dear. Chronicler makes a good point. You could always just host another contest and the prize this time is a box of Cheerios ;)

You are right, Janell - a new contest in order. I'll whip something up!

Don't worry - the prize will be something fabulous.
