Ferrero Rocher Rondnoir Chocolates Review

I twisted Spike's arm into doing a video review for everyone. The camera loves him, but it's not a mutual affection. Here he is reviewing the new Ferrero Rocher Rondoir chocolates. It's the company's first dark chocolate product. But Spike says it better than I ever could:

In celebration of the upcoming holidays, Ferrero started a campaign in conjunction with the Share Our Strength organization. SOS works to end childhood hunger in America. Ferrero created a site called Share Something Sweet where you can make and send free customized snow globes. So if world hunger isn't your thing, chuck a few snow globes at your friends. Because we can't all sit around and eat chocolates on Monday nights.

Wow, Spike really knows how to sell a product. I don't think I'll be running out to buy those chocolates soon. And I LOVE chocolate.

I'm going to try it. I've never had "chocolate gel" before!

So lets see, first we get to watch a "person" stuff his face with chocolate and ice cream. Then he says he wants to kill his mother in law. Then you hit us up for donations to relieve world hunger. YIKES!

Hey Anon, I think you'll really like this website.

Have you ever tried the original F.R. chocolates? I LOVE them! But I don't like dark chocolate, so I think I'll avoid these. :)

If those chocolates are anything like the original Ferrero Rocher, that review is nearly blasphemous! How can you give such a lackluster review to a little object that was almost entirely responsible for the 20 lb. weight gain on my mission?! Obviously, the product was sent to the wrong household for review. Please forward and I will start a blog just so I can provide a proper (though certainly not as amusing) review… And this time, I can blame the weight gain on my pregnancy! Ha ha ha!

I'm a bit surprised at the responses to Spike's review. I thought that it was well done. There is something to be said for brevity. My compliments, sir.

Ahh you tortured the poor guy! Liked the musical refrain too.
Cheers

Spike doesn't appreciate good chocolate. I'll totally trade him an almond joy for a hazelnutty-crispy-wafery-creamy-chocolate ball of Ferroer Rocher any time =)

Although we liked the review, Jensen would like to see pixie. We could not find his favorite after halloween video of her. Did it get booted off into anonymous land?

I love the Flake product reviews, keep 'em coming!

Sorry about that, Emily - I had to delete all our video on YouTube and reload them just to change my username. I've got the video loaded back up now. You can watch it here.

Pixie is a much more entertaining and willing participant to watch than Spike, but it was good to see him. I liked the laugh about which parent he would kill off :) Funny how that answer got edited out!

Yeah, I really pressed Spike for an answer to that last question but at the end of the day, not everyone has got our sense of humor so the edit was some last minute insurance against being stonewalled by the family.

Anything with chocolate is good! Don't you know the scripture..."In the beginning, the Lord created chocolate, and He saw that it was good. Then He separated the light from the dark, and it was better."

I enjoy your blog!

Aha! I found a picture of a disected Ferrero dark chocolate that sheds some light on the "gel" Adam was trying to describe. Here's the picture.

o.k. despite the "interesting" review provided by Spike, this is making my mouth water, because the holidays are just not the same without the wonderfulness that is Ferrero Rocher! The chocolate goo, gel or otherwise titled product is ganache known to us chocophiles as HEAVEN. The perfect blend of rich chocolate and heavy cream!

ahhh, now I have another reason to go to Costco this week....Industrial size Ferrero Rocher gift packs! Merry Christmas to S'mee!

Hee hee, I thought it was hilarious.

Ferrero Rocher is gross. Seriously. Gross. Slimy was extremely accurate.
