Love the podcast! I can't say I am an Anne Geddes fan, either. But, I can see how some people would love the calendars and stuff. I mean, the pictures have vibrant color, and the babies do look so peaceful. Again, not my thing, either, but I can see how people would love the artwork. BUT, this store is CRAZY CREEPY!! I can't even imagine her approving that stuff! That little fairy girl is totally dead on that rock!

Those things scare me. Creepy lil babies who seem like they would come to life and kill you. Like Demonic Toys.
Ugh, don't get me started on Ms. Geddes. She's gross. And creepy. And gross. and I always just think she's like a half a step away from baby porn. bleh.

Your podcast was exactly the type of thing I would expect if I randomly tapped into your phone line and listened to a one-sided conversation between you and a friend. I don't know if that's what you were going for, but I enjoyed it ^_^

Who buys these things?>

I think any of them would make an excellent addition to a haunted house.

I was reading recently that Tim Burton decorates his house with dead babies for Christmas. I wonder if he shops at the Anne Geddes store?

Mmmm, not sure about the podcast. With written stuff, you can glance down and see what it's all about and whether you want to read it. With auditory, it's a mystery. (Can you tell I'm stingy with my alotted blog-reading time?) Love hearing your voice, though, Hollywood, darling.

EW. GOD, why? WHY? Who is going to put a dressed up fetus in their home?? It's like... they look like the human pods from The Matrix.

I am likewise horrified.

I admit that we do have 2 "butterfly babies" in our house. They were gifts. But I don't think they're real Anne Geddes. Still creepy though. You're totally right about the fairy on the rock. Ker-splat.

Can't say I love the Pod-cast. I read blogs when I'm trying my hardest to be invisible to my children while actually sitting very near to them so turning on audio doesn't work for me. But it was fun hearing your voice.

When I saw the fairy baby on a rock, I first thought she was laying across an old ham. Now that I know it is a rock it is still weird. Fun to hear your voice

I was afraid to post before because it would be to say how disturbing I find those things and I didn't want to upset anyone. But I see I'm not the only one! I was too lazy to listen to the podcast.

I do like some of Anne Geddes' works. I like the pictures of REAL babies. But only the ones where the babies have clothing on. I don't care to see naked babies unless they are my own at bath time. Your pictures are kind of creepy. I like her dolls that are full body, such as a bear with a SMILING baby face. I guess you could call me a partial fan of Anne Geddes.

No no no on the podcast! You're a great writer though. I'd rather read a post!

Oh my word...that baby lying on the rock makes me want to sob. That poor baby looks like she might have a head injury!!!!

that fairy doll that is sleeping on the rock is just too creepyu!

At least their eyes don't pop open when you sit them up...that always freaked me out as a kid when we had dolls that would do that.

Loved Hearing your post. Although I have to say that I am a fan of Anne Geddes. I think they are cute. Would agree that the one laying on the rock was not so cute.
I have to say, I really don't like the photos she does, but I could go for one of these ladybug baby eggs.. Stocking stuffer??

I bet my girls would be in heaven with the egg babies and lady bug babies. I like many of the photos. It is creepy to me only because I always am reminded of unborn babies and those who don't live. I wish they looked a bit more alive - or less real.

I agree - the creepiness is that all of them have their eyes closed and are expressionless. First of all, we all know that real babies spend all of their time screaming and pooping. The other thing that made it weird was just seeing piles and piles of them all laying there. On their own, just one in a stocking, it wouldn't be so bad. But the piles of snowman babies just killed me. I actually had a dream last night that I was doing at service project at the hospital and was cracking little babies out of their eggs to welcome them to the world. Very strange.

Apparently even Anne Geddes bunnies can't help themselves. Maybe that is why there are so many?
That is creepy, and you didn't talk too fast.
