Cremation is cool. Here's my post about it.

SO random that you added this post today... I'm a certified teacher here in TX... however, unable to get a full time job, I'm substituting in the meantime (in hopes of snatching a job soon!)... anyhow, randomly one of the kids in the 3rd grade class I subbed for today asked me "Do you want to be cremated or buried?" LOL I was a little taken-aback... and just politely answered, "I don't really think we should be talking about this..."
This is very interesting to me. While, I personally am creeped out about doing such a seemingly final process to my body, i.e. cremation, I understand the allure, but because of my personal beliefs on the situation would opt for a simple woodbox. Also, thanks for posting a comment on my blog! I personally think your homemade stuffed animals are adorable.

One of the hardest things we did was choose a coffin for my BIL. Cremation would avoid all that. Truly horrendous.

After considering a career as an embalmer/funeral director, I have researched enough about the "industry" to understand how fully it is indeed a money making industry. There is much good, don't misunderstand me, however there are many ways for corrupt greed to take over and influence a funeral home, and without the average person being aware of just how they can be manipulated.

Information I received from LDS leadership in regard to cremation is in the comments section of MMW.
Woa. That gave me something to think about.
