Edith Tron

In light of my harsh fashion advice in my previous post, I thought I'd beat Spike to the punch and let the world know that I have some questionable fashion tastes myself. For example, the glasses that I ordered off the internet arrived and I spent my Christmas vacation traumatizing friends and family with their delightful awfulness. They dominate any picture they are in so I made sure to wear them for my mom's Christmas Eve program.

Spike calles me "Edith Tron" when I wear them because he thinks I look like a mix between Edith Head and Tron. Personally, I can't decide whether I love or hate them, which makes me love them even more. It's all about having the right attitude to pull them off. If I'm feeling sassy, they are divine. If I'm fresh out of bed at 6 am with dog breath, I hate the sight of them. Keep your eyes open for more cameos of these great specs around the site in the future. Edith Tron has a way of turning up in photos.

Regardless of my personal fashion faux pas, I maintain that the men's short sleeve button up for work STINKS.

I think those specs are awesome, and I would have paid money to see you in your mom's Christmas program. (ha, ha)

I, however, could never pull off that look.

I also have some questionably cool glasses. They are red and square and most of the time when I wear them (2 AM feedings, first thing in the morning), I'm not capable of pulling off the look. But this pic is really cool.

ummmm, i guess i should have checked my last comment for typos before i pushed the send button. that's what happens when kids are tugging at your arms while you are typing.

i'm totally down with the glasses. i would think that first thing in the morning with bad breath, they make you feel cooler, distract perhaps from bed hair. any way i'm dying to know if they taste like gummi frogs?

I always know I have chosen the correct frames when people get "that look", or make remarks about how "artsy" I look. Thor once said mine were the ugliest things he's ever seen. Woot!

As far as the name? Who else save the GLORIOUS Ms. Head to emulate and be represented by the facisnating ingenue, Ms. Flake?

Oh, really? You want to see Miss Hollywood sporting her glasses in the Christmas program? Here ya go!

she thinks she's edith head. but we both know she's not. the accent in her speech, she didn't have growing up.

Tres chic you trendsetter! When I wear glasses, it looks like something landed on my face. Which is why I got contacts when I was 14.

One of my best friends has very similar glasses. You both rock them well.

I vote to put the gummy frog glasses firmly in the "Awesome" column.

btw, sorry I missed you at Christmas! It was a holiday smorgasbord of broken arms, ribs and funerals. Call me, we'll catch up.

I kind of love the glasses.

And short-sleeve button downs for work are so NASA engineer circa 1968.

What is all the hatred of the short sleeve button up shirts? For my gaint of a husband it is easier/cheaper to go short sleeve than expensive 37/38 length sleeve. Plus he is always HOT!

The glasses are cute!

Well, clearly I have different fashion sense than the rest of your readers.

I do not like the glasses. But I can see how in some situations you can pull them off. But for regular, everyday use, no.

I myself could never ever pull them off, so my hat's off to you for that.

Lasik, baby!

I have tried for years to find a pair of cool glasses. The thing is, when the glass is two inches thick, NOTHING looks cool. Nothing.

I like 'em! They remind of me green jello with whipped cream. And who doesn't like green jello with whipped cream?
