I'm Unstoppable

Despite all the negative press, I find myself unable to stop stitching my twisted toys. My latest creation is a luchador (Nacho Libre, anyone?). However, my three year old can't process the name and instead calls him "toulouse-ador." It gives me the weird visual of a mix between the French painter Toulouse Lautrec and a Mexican wrestler. Lautrec was short and disfigured so I guess she's not that far off.

Of course, I had to stick with the trademark belly button and bum on this toy since that seemed to be the highlight of the last one. I promise I won't torture you blog readers with each and every one of my upcoming creations, but I couldn't resist showing this one off. And for the record, making leather undies is a lot harder than it looks. I have new respect for the designers of bondage-wear.

Awesome. It reminds me of Nacho Libre!

I dig the pants...and the mask. Not feeling the unmatching arms, though. But I love that his head is really, really tiny. Such is the male intellect when it comes to wrestling.

He cracks me up! I love the leather undies and headgear, but I concur that it's difficult to work with. The color choices are great!

He looks like something my kids would love to wrestle with.

they keep getting better! I think the crack should be your signature.

He reminds me of a plumber. I like the cabbage patch kid belly button.

I also love the crack and think it should be your signature.
Ok. I am doing this for your own good. STOP! You are going to hurt yourself with these things. I think you may get sued by Nickelodeon over this one. It looks like Patrick from Spongebob minus one arm.
KEEP BELIEVING
Although I could just be saying that because I have no crafts skills and can BARELY sew a button on a shirt.
KEEP BELIEVING

I prefer the ugly baby honestly. I recommend adding nipples.

Hi Hollywood, Kathy and I tagged you with a "Roar for powerful words" award over at The DHX -- http://www.thedhx.com/2008/01/11/roar/ -- we hope you'll share your tips!

I'm stunned. It's like luchador stuffy p0rn.

Actually, I'm laughing. I won't buy it, but I'm laughing!

I admire your creativity, but I don't know anyone who would buy that. I would love for you to sell a million of them and prove me wrong.

My vote...the XX chromosome thing personalized in initials with color choices. That is truly the thing I see flying off the shelf the most. It could go in any nursery and not just the "ugly baby" themed nursery.

I think you have a gift with the plushies. I was surprised at the results of the poll so far. This last one is starting to look like art. I'm serious.

Has anyone mentioned that it kinda of looks like Patrick Star(from Spongebob) meets Nacho Libre?

Did you rip off a buzz light year costume to get those leather pants? I'm recognizing the colors...

he's ugly. very ugly. but yet... there is something charming.

I love these. I was wondering if I could make a few suggestions for future cuddly toys. You seem to me going down a human/animal route. I'd really like to wean my baby off of her stroller tire, the vacuum cleaner and the toilet brush. Do you any of these inspire your creativity? It could be a cuddly toilet brush with eyes... or something... a toilet brush with a crack and a belly button...

I totally dig all your creations and would like to offer my upcoming website as a way of selling them. If you're interested, let me know. My website is going to be the coolest thing out there - just as soon as I make it!

Oh - I should say... my website will be the coolest thing out there, second to Hollywood Flakes.
