In Memory Of

The girls took a quiet moment at the Los Angeles Arboretum today to quietly ponder the lives of Salvador and Emma Lombardo. Were they or were they not worthy of this nice teak bench and would they mind having fruit snacks mashed all over their memorial? Some questions may never be answered.

Pixie is thinking about it real hard, and I dig that about her.

Love the juxtapostition of the quizzical look and the "what the frig is this?" look.

Pixie really looks contemplative and serene. :)

lol They're too cute... and if I were memorialized as a bench in a park, I'd love nothing more than to have fruit snacks stuck to me (better that than... oh, I dunno... homeless person pee...? at least fruit snacks have a pleasant odor)

I love her!

The expressions are priceless.

LOVE the arboretum! (hey-oh hey-oh) Should be renamed as a peacock (hey-oh hey-oh) sanctuary too.

Looks like you had a great day.

I find park bench memorials very odd. Better yet are individual steps on a flight of stairs.

The girls are so cute. Days at the park and fruit snacks, two of the truest joys of motherhood.

Are memorial benches someone trying to reach beyond the grave ("whoooooooo") to be generous? Or is it a mockery? "Neener, neener, you can't sit on my bench." I suspect given that the bench is on the side of a path in a park, that it's the former rather than the later.

Cher's feet make me happy.

I love the arboretum. In the picture it looks as if it's fall instead of spring.

I'm sure they adored children... and fruit snacks.

Next time you should let them smear peanut butter- then some squirrels will come, and birds, and then before you know it the Lombardy's will be smack dab in the middle of a after-life party.
Cool beans methinks.

ps- haven't sent it yet, but I will, I will!

Very cute. At least they're not trying to push each other off the bench, like my girls do.

There's a rumor at MMW that you're not blogging because you're pregnant. Care to elaborate?
